Kerala Grand Tour from ₹39,999 per couple · Personalised itinerary in 24 hours
Updated 10 October 2026
From Delhi, fly non-stop to Kochi (COK) in about 3 hours 15 minutes and travel south by private cab through Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey. Because each flight takes up half a day, plan 6 to 8 days and return from Trivandrum (TRV) after Kovalam. October to March brings the most settled weather.
Yes. Delhi has non-stop flights to both Kochi and Trivandrum, each a little over 3 hours. Tickets are booked separately from our packages; we advise on which timings suit the route.
| Route | Typical flight time | Non-stop airlines | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delhi → Kochi (COK) | About 3 hours 15 minutes | Air India, IndiGo, Air India Express | Start here for Munnar and the backwaters |
| Delhi → Trivandrum (TRV) | About 3 hours 20 minutes | Air India, IndiGo | Use for the flight home after Kovalam |
In late December and January, morning fog in Delhi often delays departures, so on winter trips we plan nothing for the first day beyond the drive to Munnar. Check current schedules before you book.
Arrive at Kochi and leave from Trivandrum. The classic route runs north to south: Munnar, Thekkady, Alleppey, then the coast at Kovalam. Both airports have non-stop Delhi flights, so a one-way route needs no extra connection.
On the Kerala Grand Tour the last transfer, Kovalam to Trivandrum airport, takes about 30 minutes.
Plan 6 to 8 days. With airport time added to the flight, the first and last days are mostly travel, so a week gives five full days on the ground. An eighth day on the Kerala Premium Escape adds the cliffs at Varkala.
With only five days, Romantic Kerala still works if you fly in early and out late.
You can, but it takes roughly two days each way; even the fastest trains need well over a day and a half. Flying gives you about three more days in Kerala on a week's leave.
The Kerala Grand Tour: in at Kochi, out at Trivandrum, travelling steadily south.
Your driver meets you at Kochi airport. The road climbs past Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls to a hill resort.
Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake, Echo Point, Eravikulam National Park and the tea museum.
Through spice plantations to Periyar Lake for a boat ride, then a spice garden and a Kalaripayattu show.
Three hours down to sea level. Board at noon for a cruise, lunch on deck and a night on the water.
Off the boat at 9 am, then about 4 hours to a sea-view stay and a free day on Lighthouse Beach.
A slow morning, then the 30-minute transfer to Trivandrum airport.
October to March is the comfortable window; Munnar is also a cool escape from Delhi's heat in April and May.
| When | Weather | Our verdict |
|---|---|---|
| October – November | Rain easing, hills at their greenest | Good for the Dussehra and Diwali breaks, when Delhi's air is at its worst. |
| December – February | Dry and mild; cool nights in Munnar | Peak season and wedding-season honeymoons. December–January fills about 6 weeks ahead. |
| March – May | Hot on the coast, pleasant in the hills | Suits summer holidays weighted towards Munnar and Thekkady. |
| June – September | Monsoon | Quiet and very green, for travellers happy with rain. |
Prices are per couple, starting, for the Kerala leg. Flights are booked by you; we advise which to pick.

VIEW PACKAGEA non-stop flight from Delhi to Kochi typically takes between 3 hours 10 minutes and 3 hours 30 minutes. With the drive of about 4 hours to Munnar, the first day is a travel day.
Yes, for Munnar, Thekkady and an Alleppey houseboat night on the Romantic Kerala route, from ₹29,999 per couple. It is a brisk trip from Delhi, though, because two of the five days include a long flight.
Six nights: two in Munnar, one in Thekkady, one on an Alleppey houseboat with all meals and two in Kovalam, with a private cab, the same driver and daily breakfast. It starts from ₹39,999 per couple; flights are extra.
From Kovalam, Trivandrum airport is about 30 minutes away, so a late-morning flight works. Routes ending in Alleppey leave the houseboat at 9 am and need roughly 2 to 2.5 hours to reach Kochi airport, so depart mid-afternoon or later.
Yes. December to February is dry and mild in Kerala, with cool evenings in Munnar, and it matches the north Indian wedding season. December and January fill about 6 weeks ahead, so fix your dates early.
